General Questions
An environmental badge is a colored sticker placed on the windshield that indicates which emission group a vehicle belongs to. It is mandatory in German environmental zones.
Since 2025, only the green badge (emission group 4) is valid in all German environmental zones. Red and yellow badges are no longer permitted.
The environmental badge is valid indefinitely as long as the license plate doesn't change. When changing license plates, a new badge must be ordered.
You can buy the environmental badge at TÜV/DEKRA, vehicle registration offices, authorized workshops, or conveniently order online from us.
Ordering
You need a copy of your vehicle registration certificate (registration certificate part I) or other technical documents of your vehicle.

Orders placed before 3 PM are shipped the same business day. Delivery usually takes 1-2 business days by mail.
Technical Questions
Most modern vehicles with Euro 4, 5, or 6 standards are eligible for a green badge. We verify eligibility based on your vehicle data.
No, the environmental badge is tied to the specific license plate and cannot be transferred. You need a separate badge for each vehicle.
If damaged or lost, you must order a new badge. Damaged or illegible badges are not valid.
Yes, all vehicles - including foreign ones - need a German environmental badge to drive in environmental zones. There are no exceptions.
Legal Questions
Entering an environmental zone without a valid badge is punished with a fine of 80 euros. Additionally, a point in Flensburg may be imposed.
